Joint Head of Housing Services

Janet has joint responsibility for the delivery of a wide range of housing services and projects within Shelter Cymru, ensuring they meet quality, performance and budgetary targets. She studied at Leeds Metropolitan University for three years and has a BA (Hons) in Urban Development; specialising in Housing in her final year.

Janet was a volunteer with Shelter Cymru’s Wrexham office in the early 1990’s and went on to work for a voluntary sector organisation in Shropshire which involved establishing and co-ordinating a housing advice service, bond scheme and tenancy support scheme, working mainly within the private rented sector. She came back to work for Shelter Cymru in June 2001, initially as Regional Advice Services Manager and now as Joint Head of Housing Services within the senior management team.

Janet has represented Shelter Cymru on a variety of local, regional and national forums, and has been strategic in the development and expansion of the advice services and specialist projects across wales.
