Policy and Research

We believe everyone in Wales has the right to a decent, secure home.

Through our research, policy work and campaigning, we aim to influence the Welsh agenda on housing and homelessness, by scrutinising how services are delivered and developing robust solutions to housing problems.

If you would like to commission us to undertake research on behalf of your organisation on any housing, homelessness or social issue, email our Policy and Research Officer Rebecca Jackson on: RJackson@sheltercymru.org.uk

“We tendered a contract for a research project to determine citizens’ expectations of information and advice services.

Shelter Cymru’s bid was evaluated as outstanding in terms of quality. In delivering the project, they were required to act largely on their own initiative. The project was delivered on time at every stage and the quality of the final report is exceptional.

We were proud to deliver the report as part of a proposal to the Welsh Government.  I would have no hesitation in working with Shelter Cymru on future occasions and I can recommend their work unreservedly as offering excellent value.”
