Converted occupation contracts and eviction quick links:
- Eviction: converted periodic standard contracts
- Eviction: converted fixed term standard contracts
- Eviction: converted introductory standard contracts
If you moved into your home before 1 December 2022 you will have a converted occupation contract unless one of the exceptions listed here applies.
Some converted contracts have different rules about how you can be evicted. For example, you might be entitled to less notice before your landlord begins court action if you have a converted contract.
There are 3 kinds of converted standard contracts that have different eviction rules. These are converted periodic, fixed term and introductory standard contracts.
You can find out if you have a converted occupation contract, and what type, in our renting and converted contracts pages.
You can click on our links below to find out about how you can be evicted if you have one of these types of contracts.
Converted contracts that have the same rules whenever you moved in
If you have a:
- Converted secure contract
- Converted prohibited conduct standard contract
- Converted supported standard contract
- Converted standard contract in temporary accommodation,
then it doesn’t matter what date you moved in because the rules are the same. Please see here to find out more.
