About the show
An evening of drag, cabaret, music and entertainment.
Enjoy a fun and fierce night out, where our runway is full of sashays and the talent totally slaaaays!
We’ll be joined on the opening weekend of Cardiff Christmas Festival by a stellar group of renowned acts, who are coming together to raise funds for Shelter Cymru.
The line-up
Hosted by the fabulously talented Justine Marie Mead, the line-up* includes:
-
Carrie Sauce – a seasoned performer, classically trained singer and winner of S4C’s Y Llais (The Voice) 2026. Carrie is also, to date, the only drag artist to ever win The Voice globally. If powerhouse vocals are your thing, her Spiegeltent debut is not to be missed!
-
Marmalade – Welsh drag performer and designer who gained national visibility on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, finishing in the final 4. Since the show, she has continued to develop her work across performance, design, and digital media. She has also become a Guinness World Record holder, had her design work featured at the V&A Museum in London and has launched a successful YouTube series, Behind The Seams, that has built a strong and growing audience. She continues to perform all over the UK for Pride’s and on major stages. In 2025 she debuted her solo show Spotlight, which has played to sell-out audiences and is set for a future UK tour. These projects have helped solidify Marmalade’s position as a creator whose work spans live performance, fashion, and online content.
-
Violet Thistletease – Award-winning Scottish burlesque performer. A bonnie wee lass… who isn’t as shy as you think she is!
-
South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus – an award-winning choir based in Cardiff, bringing together singers from across South Wales to celebrate community, inclusion and the joy of making music. Known for their rich harmonies, they are passionate about creating memorable experiences for audiences.
Since 2008, the choir has performed at festivals, Pride celebrations, charity fundraisers and prestigious venues throughout the UK and beyond. At its heart, South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus is about friendship, visibility and belonging, providing a welcoming space where people can connect, build confidence and celebrate being themselves.
Proudly representing the LGBTQ+ community, the chorus uses the power of music to bring people together, champion diversity and spread a little sparkle wherever they perform.

MORE THAN JUST A SOIRÉE…
All profits from this event will raise funds to support Shelter Cymru’s fight against homelessness in Wales. Research from Stonewall shows that almost one in five LGBTQ+ people have experienced homelessness at some point in their lives. Rates are even higher amongst trans people, with 25% having experienced homelessness. According to akt, 77% of LGBTQ+ young people gave, ‘family rejection, abuse or being asked to leave home’ as a cause of their homelessness. All love should have a home. Last year, we supported more than 21,000 people in housing need. Our advice and support services are inclusive, free of charge and available to anyone who needs them. Home is everything. Every penny we raise through this event will be spent helping people facing or experiencing homelessness in Wales.
This event is kindly supported by The Darkley Trust and Cardiff Christmas Festival.
